Returns Policy

Product Returns Policy Overview

You may return new items sold and fulfilled by the Social Mind Pty Ltd via www.socialmind.com.au within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will only pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (i.e. you received an incorrect or defective item). You Received the Incorrect Product or a Damaged/Faulty Product

If we send you the incorrect product or the product arrives in a damaged condition or the product is faulty, please notify is by email orders@socialmind.com.au as soon as you detect the problem but no later than 10 days of the date you placed the order.  We will send you replacement item(s) along with a prepaid label or satchel to return the incorrect or damaged product to us at no charge to you.  Please reuse the protective packaging the product(s) arrive to ensure the product arrives back to us in the same condition it arrived to you i.e. the item is not damaged or further damaged in the post.

You Changed Your Mind

If you have changed your mind regarding your purchase, you will have to pay for return shipping costs and we will only refund the purchase price of the product and will deduct our initial shipping fee along with a $13.20 (includes GST) administration charge, again, we will not refund the charge for shipping the product to you in your original purchase and will charge a $13.20 (includes GST) administration fee if you change your mind. This does not apply to defective items, see above for details about the return shipping process.  Any discounts received in purchasing the item(s) will be reflected in the refund.

You Provided the Incorrect Address and your Order is Returned to Us

If your order is Returned to us because you provided the incorrect address we will contact you to check the correct address and charge you for the return postage of your order to us, plus the additional postage charge to deliver the order to your correct address.  We will Invoice you for these charges and we will only send the order to your correct address once you have paid these postage charges.  Please be sure to check the address you provide when ordering.  Common mistakes are not proving the name of the school or organisation and not providing a street number of a school or organisation. Please be aware that we do deliver to Post Office Boxes.  Your school’s or your organisation’s PO Box is usually a safer option if the delivery is to be made when your office is not attended i.e. during school holidays, or you have previously experienced difficulty receiving parcel deliveries to your street address.

Your Order Can Not Be Delivered and is Returned to Us

If your order is Returned to us because it can not be delivered for whatever reason, we will contact you to check the correct address and charge you for the return postage of your order to us, plus the additional postage charge to deliver the order to your correct address.  We will Invoice you for these charges and we will only send the order to your correct address once you have paid these postage charges. Again, make sure you supply an address where parcels can be delivered, a PO Box is usually a safe option.

You Failed to Pickup your Parcel from the Post Office

If your order is Returned to us because you failed to pickup your parcel from the Post Office when your order has been delivered to your PO Box or was carded and you failed to pick the order up within 10 days, we will contact you to check your address and charge you for the return postage of your order to us, plus the additional postage charge to deliver the order for the second time.  We will Invoice you for these charges and we will only send the order to the address you provide the second time once you have paid these postage charges. Make sure you collect your parcel from the Post Office within 10 days of receiving notification that it is being held for collection.

If you did not receive notification your order is “Awaiting Collection” at the Post Office and your parcel is returned to us?

We understand that postage notifications can go astray and not reach you. Please be aware we will not consider any excuse for not collecting your parcel from the Post Office and it is returned to us, even if you did not receive the notification. Check with The Social Mind if you have not received your parcel within 10 days of placing the order, we can provide you with the location of your parcel if notifications have not reached you. If your order is Returned to us because you failed to pickup your parcel from the Post Office when your order has been delivered to your PO Box or was carded and you failed to pick the order up within 10 days, we will contact you to check your address and charge you for the return postage of your order to us, plus the additional postage charge to deliver the order for the second time.  We will Invoice you for these charges and we will only send the order to the address you provide the second time, once you have paid these postage charges. Make sure you collect your parcel from the Post Office within 10 days of receiving notification that it is being held for collection and check with The social Mind if you do not receive any notifications.

Returned products need to be returned in resalable condition

Except in the case of faulty products, we will only refund your purchase price if the product(s) are returned in new/resalable condition, so be sure to package the products in such a way to avoid damage in transit back to us.

Time for us to Process Refunds

Please note that refunds can take up to 60 days to process.  Refunds will be made back to the account or card you used to make the original purchase.
